Bethany & Gary….their wedding was a small intimate affair and the setting apropos at the lovely Chamard Vineyard in Clinton, CT (check out my video review here). With a country themed backdrop their choice of the Barn at the vineyard couldn’t have been more perfect. Their Ceremony took place lakeside with their closest family and friends in attendance on this warm and breezy afternoon.
After the Ceremony, guests made their way to the Patio fronting the bar for Cocktail hour as Bethany and Gary wandered the Vineyard with their photographer taking advantage of the beautiful backdrops. Still, they were able to enjoy the last half of Cocktail hour with their guests.
Segueing dinner, their parents and Wedding party were introduced to Phillip Phillips’ “Gone, gone, gone”, with Bethany and Gary walking in to the Lumineers’ “Ho Hey”, transitioning in to their first dance, “Bless the broken road” by Rascal Flatts.
After dinner, Cake Cutting and Parent dances unfolded and this wonderful couple who shared their (very) first dance together as Freshmen at their High School homecoming some years ago, were able to relax, dance and enjoy the remainder of their celebration surrounded by family and friends.
May all your long lost streams always lead you to one another.

Having performed at Chris’ brothers’ wedding several years ago, I knew what to expect….a family of music lovers (the Hulse family) that loved a good party. The ‘X’ factor was the Bride’s family, the Nadeau’s. Forgettabout the saying ‘opposites attract’…..after experiencing the Danielle & Chris’s family together, under the same roof- it was like adding gasoline to a raging fire!!!! What a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, the ceremony was oh so traditional with the ‘Ave Maria’ for Seating the Mothers and subdued [read mushy sentimental) for the Processional(s)]….but that all changed when James Brown belted out “I feel good” for their recessional- talk about setting the tone for the rest of the evening!!

Each couple owned (picked) their Intro song, which is always interesting to see how they respond to their intro music. Adding to their own introduction was their Love Story which was a lot of fun (check it out here).

A packed dance floor was the rule throughout the celebration and how sad was I when last dance rolled around and it was time to say good night to a wonderful couple and their awesome families, friends and guests.

I’ll miss you Danielle & Chris!

Labor Day weekend 2013 threatened rain all weekend and certainly it rained in areas throughout the state, but NOT on my weekends’ weddings, including Caitlin & Ryan’s Labor Sunday reception at the Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown.
Taking no chances, especially with Cocktail hour and after dinner dancing planned for the Patio outdoors, I came prepared and setup under my pop-up canopy to ride out any passing shower. You see, part of the allure at the Wadsworth is dancing outdoors in the moonlight and at Ryan & Caitlin’s celebration, the weather’s cooperation afforded me the opportunity to uplight the back of the mansion per their wishes. And how awesome it looked! (see video)
Caitlin & Ryan entertained their guests upon Introduction to Jay-Z & J.T.’s “Holy Grail” to set the mood for rest of evening. Their unique musical tastes continued with their first dance to Dustin Kensrue “Pistol” as well as their Cake cutting song later that evening to Jack’s Mannequin “Made for each other”.
After dinner their guests sauntered back outside for an evening of high energy dancing .
Wonderful couple, wonderful families & friends….GREAT times!
