Danielle and Chris had The.. Perfect.. Day

Blue skies and wisps of clouds greeted us, when we arrived at the hotel: The Farmington Homewood Suites. The ladies were getting hair and makeup done, and everyone was excited for the day ahead! The men were hanging out in their rooms too…doing what guys do…having a few beers!
Back in the ladies hotel room, the details of Danielle’ dress came together perfectly.  Her killer shoes and real pearls finalized the look, and soon it was time to go to the Farmington Club, for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony under the blue skies.
Danielle’s father walked her past the colorful floral gardens and manicured beach grasses of the Farmington Club aqueduct building, where she was happily wed to Chris.
Outdoor bridal party fun was abound, and we had a blast capturing the blue skies and smiles.
Danielle and Chris’s reception first dance…classic, with a surprise dry ice fog…

Labor Day weekend…….Maria and Zack picked a nice long holiday weekend for their wedding. The setting was on Zack’s parent’s property in Haddam CT, back in the woods in a huge clearing and under a Big Top. They called it their backyard; maybe I’m dating myself, but I called it the Ponderosa. Beautiful setting and OMG was it a HUMID day.
Now, every wedding has one element that really sticks out in my mind, the food, the setting, the cake, the location, the weather, the season, something. At Zack & Maria’s wedding (to me) it was the ‘Porta-Potty’ they provided for their guests. ‘Porta-Lisa’ (with a picture of Mona Lisa as their icon) is what it was called. Anyone looking into providing the ULTIMATE in comfort ( Both beautifully air- conditioned and accessorized) should consider this for their Outdoor Celebration. It was so nice there was always a line to get it just to enjoy its’ environment! But enough about the Loo, back to the Reception itself.
Zack & Maria are a beautiful young couple who currently reside in Florida. Their friends were a very eclectic & zany bunch, heck even the parents on both sides, Nick & Julie + Theresa & Robert were all wonderful, warm welcoming people.
A wonderful time, wonderful wedding, beautiful couple and their handsome little boy, Preston.

It’s that time of year….end of August, when the weather transitions to clear blue skies, no humidity, a crispness in the air. The setting was the Pavilion on Crystal Lake in Middletown, CT under what we all fantasize as Summer in New England and just as well for this awesome couple and their guests at this fantasy wedding.

The groom, Dan and his groomsmen arrived early long before the ceremony to complete their pictures with their photographer. The Bride, Maren and her ladies arrived and promptly proceeded down the aisle to start her last walk as a single lady. With the ceremony in the very able hands of (All-Star) JP Mary Coburn who shared Maren’s and Dan’s Love Story which had all in attendance hanging on her every word- a real delight!

Something I’ve never seen before, an ‘Anniversary Box’ was introduced into the proceedings, whereby both Bride & Groom write a letter to one another, place it in this box to be read on their Anniversary. They continue this (new) tradition each year writing each other a letter to be read the following year. Included in the inaugural year would be Sentiments from each of their guests to be added later that evening. What an awesome idea, Mary Coburn!

Maren, an ex- Basketball player @ UNH (New Hampshire) and Dan an ex- football player from Holy Cross were both well represented by friends and former teammates from their alma maters (so….lotsa ‘Tall’ people!)

An awesome group of fun- lovin’ people who spent the entire evening on the dance floor to a very eclectic mix of music. To cap off the evening, we orchestrated a ‘Sparkling Sendoff’ to the Bride and Groom as their (very orderly) guests spilled into the parking lot for an unforgettable farewell. Check out their sparkling sendoff video here.

Another wedding I really wanted to just go on and on…Thanks Maren & Dan!!!!
