It was an overcast Autumn afternoon that their families gathered to celebrate Rachel and Erin’s nuptials at Pavilion on Crystal Lake. Erin, along with their wedding party arrived about an hour before the ceremony was scheduled to take place at the gazebo in the woods. Rachel arrived just prior to the ceremony. The wedding party, with the exception of Erin’s brother Christian, were all ladies- friends of the brides. The guest list numbered 135 and was almost entirely family with both Rachel and Erin equally represented. On Erin’s side were the Lemkes, Hortons and Dillons and Rachel’s side, the Petersons and Mannings.

The processional, `A dream is a wish your heart makes’ by Kimberly Locke, serenaded the bride’s walk down the aisle. Rachel was given away by her Dad, Kurt and was followed down the aisle by Erin, given away by her Uncle, Mike. James Brown’s, `I feel good’ made it all official as the brides and their wedding party proceeded to the lake for pictures.

A large wedding party numbering 15 couples sashayed to the sounds of `In the Mood’, `Shook me all night long’, `Bad Romance’, I’m too sexy’ and `I gotta feeling’ for their introductions. After dinner it was time for Rachel and Erin’s first dance, `Amazed’ by Lonestar followed by Parent dances and at Bride’s request, the Cha-Cha Slide to kick off the dancing. Young and old partied to (primarily) Oldies, disco, 80’s and early 90’s the first half before the younger guests commandeered the dance floor to close out the evening with today’s Top 40 dance music. Two wonderful brides from loving families who now how to celebrate! I had so much fun getting to know your familes.

Thank you Rachel and Erin for allowing me to celebrate your day.
